It is time for a great event in your beloved Padova! Are you ready to celebrate our 25th anniversary together? We are excited to welcome you from 20th to 22nd October 2017 in our beautiful student-sized city boasting a long history of culture and fun, and just a hop away from Venice, Verona and the Petrarca’s Euganean Hills.
25 years have meant a lot for us: 4 international board members, 5 national board members, the unforgettable SWEP 2010 and at least 10 memberships for international committees and national boards of different countries...and most of these people will be here to welcome you :)
In the same days the University of Padova will also officially celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus program!!!
During our city tours, you might hear we were the third most important city in the Early Roman Empire or the Studio where Galileo formalized the scientific method, but in our hearts we nurture the hope you will remember us for having invented the popular Aperol Spritz :D and having made you addicted to it while showing you around and partying together.
This is how we will keep you informed and enjoyed:
- Friday 20th
Official ceremony of the 30th anniversary of Erasmus at the University of Padova
Karaoke and/or party in Q club
- Saturday 21st
Alumni meeting (3 hours)
Bacarata (typical Venetian bars crawl) in Venice
- Sunday 22nd
- Optional (Additional programme on Sunday afternoon):
Lunch and departure to Bassano. We will organize a walking tour and the tasting (and more drinking ;) of the famous grappa, locally produced here. To follow a typical dinner in Bassano.
Please tell us if you are going to stay 1 day and 1 night more! :)
Your most debauchery weekend of the year will cost you only € 110 (if you are a member of the Alumni Association, € 120 if not), including:
2 nights in 3* hotel with breakfast
Official ceremony at the University of Padova
2 parties in disco (beverages excluded)
Train and drinks for the Bacarata in Venice
*Reduced fee without accommodation: 60 EUR
So have you ever been in a city hosting one of the oldest universities ever, where Galileo made all of his discoveries and where the first woman in the world, Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, graduated in 1678? The same university hosting the oldest existing botanical garden, built in 1545, and also the oldest anatomical theatre (1594), or the same city that inspired the Shakespeare’s mind for ‘the Taming of the Shrew’ and set the boundaries for the Victorian play ‘The Duchess Of Padua’ by Oscar Wilde?
That, and much more, you will discover here where a nice warm weather and 70.000 students will welcome you with a glass full of spritz… why should you miss out on the feel and taste of 2.000 years of history? Book your flight, join us and get kidnapped by the beautiful charm of our region! ESN Padova is waiting for you ;)
- Everyone is invited.
